Sleep interuptus..

Well we knew it was coming... Jonathan now is aware that he can leave his room when he wakes up. Both Saturday & Sunday morning (at 6:00am & 6:30am respectively) we were woken up by Jonathan at our bedside proudly telling us that he is awake (& raring to go). Another "first" related to this, is that at approximately 1:30am this morning *groan* he apparently woke up and came into our room, Deb woke to him climbing up & into bed with us. I managed to sleep through it, but it was quite the surprise at 4:30am waking up to find him at my side, and not Deb! LOL. He briefly woke up when I did, and gave me this smile that screamed of: "Hi Daddie, isn't this cool?", and fell back asleep.
The funny thing is that we have expected this to happen at some point, and have left our bedroom door open so that he could easily get to us in this type of situation, ever since he started sleeping in his toddler bed 2 months ago. Last night, without thinking, I actually closed our bedroom door. Deb caught it & opened again, but how's that for odd timing?
Parenthood... who knew....? heh
